An exhibition of works by the Mexican visual artist Betsabeé Romero, displayed at the Rubin Center for Visual Arts in El Paso, TX. Commissioned by Bestabee and Kerry Doyle (Director of the Rubin Center) to design, construct, and install steel sculptures to help represent the artist’s vision for her work.
Spiral, constructed from steel flat, suspended in the atrium reaching a total height of 16’.
Tracks, formed steel square and torched wood to mimic railroad ties. The track runs serpentine up and through the space ending at a window close to the ceiling.
Hats off to the artist, the curator (Daniel Szwaczkowski), and many others for really making this exhibition amazing.
